An easy protection could be a number of points required to send PM and post a message on the forum (i.e : 1 or 2 points)

I like mirmo's idea. With the addition of this kind of system, there could possibly be some kind of forum bonuses for those higher-ranked, to compliment the point-based Links section. ;)

I already thought about this and similar ideas.
Maybe for PM it would be ok to allow more messages per day with more points.
Like 0 points equals 2 messages per day
and every 1000 points one message more per day.
